The longer I quilt, the more I realize that quilting has never really been about fabric or thread. It’s about the stories we carry, the people we love, and the small moments that stay with us long after the seasons change.
Coach House Designs began because I wanted to create quilt patterns that help people celebrate life’s cherished moments: weddings, holidays, milestones, new beginnings, and all the quiet in-betweens.
Each design I create is rooted in storytelling inspired by the fabric design or the feeling it evokes.
When you make a quilt, you’re not just following instructions, you are putting a little bit of yourself in your work with the fabric you choose and the little (or big ) changes you make.
Quilts have always been gifts made with love. They comfort us in hard times, celebrate us in joyful ones, and connect us across generations. At Coach House Designs, we’re building more than a brand — we’re building a community of quilters who believe in the power of handmade stories.
Over the last few months, we’ve taken steps to bring that community even closer:
• Live webinars where we spotlight quilt shops and the people behind them, fabric designers and industry leaders.
• Patterns that connect quilters from across Canada.
• Our Affiliate Circle, which builds our connection to quilt shops and enables them to benefit from the sale of our downloadable PDF patterns.
Every one of these initiatives has the same goal: to create a space where quilters can connect, collaborate, and inspire one another.
When we share our stories, even in small ways, the quilting world becomes less of a business and more of a community. We would love for you to be a part of our community.
