Because of the nature of our products and the digital accessibility of many of them, all purchases are final and non-refundable.

Why All Sales Are Final

We understand that you have choices when it comes to your quilting and design needs, and we’re honored you’ve chosen Coach House Designs. However, we have a strict no-refund policy for the following reasons:

1. Digital Products Are Instantly Delivered

Once you purchase a PDF downloadable pattern, the file is delivered immediately to your device or inbox. Digital products, by nature, cannot be "returned" once accessed. Even if the file has not been opened, the download link constitutes delivery, and thus, all digital pattern sales are final.

2. Limited-Run Physical Products

Our paper quilt patterns and kits are produced in limited quantities and curated collections. We do not operate on a mass-production model, and many of our designs are exclusive or seasonal. Each kit is packed and prepared to order, and as such, we cannot restock or resell returned items. This ensures all our customers receive brand-new, untouched products.

3. Protecting the Integrity of Our Work

Coach House Designs is built on originality. Our patterns are unique intellectual property, and allowing refunds could lead to misuse or unauthorized duplication. Our no-refund policy helps protect the creative efforts of our designers and ensures fairness for all customers.

4. Transparent Communication and Support

We are a small, dedicated team based in Chilliwack, British Columbia—sometimes operating all the way from St. John’s, Newfoundland! While we may span coast to coast like the great Canadian moose, we’re always here to help. If you have questions before making a purchase, please contact us. We’re happy to guide you on sizing, suitability, or suggestions before checkout.

5. Clear Product Descriptions

We go to great lengths to ensure each product listing—whether it's a cozy Modern Farmhouse Kit or a charming Canadiana PDF pattern—is clearly described with details on size, style, format (PDF or paper), and price. We encourage all customers to read descriptions carefully before making a purchase.

6. Order Errors and Exceptions

While all sales are final, if you receive a damaged paper pattern or an incorrect shipment due to a packing error, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item. We’ll do our best to make it right within reason. Please note that we do not offer refunds, but we may offer replacements or store credit in rare cases where an error occurred on our end.

7. Holiday & Shipping Delays

During vacation periods such as our Spring Holiday (May 15–25), shipping of physical items is paused. Orders placed during these times are fulfilled the week after our return. However, PDF downloads remain available immediately, and you can always request a digital version of your paper pattern by emailing us.
