Delft Trivet - Wall Quilt - featuring Spa by Deb Strain 2012.
Blue and white is so classic and this group by Deb was beautiful. When I designed this quilt, my husband and I had just been to visit Monet’s Garden in Giverny. In the house by the gardens where Monet used to live, there was amazing tile work behind the cooking area in the kitchen. It inspired this project meant to look like a delft tile trivet. Lots of fusible appliqué in this project. Not for the feint of heart. (btw we are about 1/4 of the way through my quilting journey!)
